180 professionals from 14 countries attended SEETEST 2014
The third edition of the South East European Testing Conference (SEETEST 2014) took place last week in Bucharest. Organized by the South East European Testing Board together with ANIS and Quality House, the event brought together more than 180 software testing professionals from 14 countries, as well as some of the most appreciated experts in the field at global level.

The first day of the South East European Testing Conference SEETEST was dedicated to specialized tutorials held by well-known international experts: Rex Black (RBCS, USA), Erik van Veenendaal (Improve Quality Services BV, Bonaire), Geoff Thompson (Experimentus, UK), Graham Bath (T-Systems, Germany), Vipul Kocher (Pure Testing, India) and Yaron Tsubery (Enghouse, Israel).

Mitko Mitev (Conference Chair) opened the second day of the conference, being followed by Rex Black (RBCS President) that talked about the tester profession in 2015 and its perspectives for the future. Erik van Veenendal, internationally recognized testing expert and Founder of Improve Quality Services BV, held the second keynote speech of the day and discussed about the testing centers of excellence.

15 papers written by members of the regional community were presented in three parallel tracks in the second day of the event. They showcased best practices and case studies in software testing and approached subjects such as test management, agile testing, mobile testing, or different methodologies that can be employed for improving the software testing processes.

Robert Calangiu (Senior Quality Engineer Lead & Testing Consultant Adobe Romania), author of the paper „Tester’s role – olympics experience” won the best paper award at SEETEST 2014. The Best Presentation Award was obtained by Claudiu Drăghia (Quality Manager CapGemini Consulting) for the paper „Software testing map”. The awards were offered by Mitko Mitev (Conference Chair, SEETB) and Valerica Dragomir (Executive Director ANIS), that also closed the third edition of the South East European Testing Conference (SEETEST 2014).

The conference brought participants from 14 countries: Bonaire, Bulgaria, Germany, India, Israel, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, The Netherlands, UK, USA.

The next edition of SEETEST Conference is expected to come back in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2015.
